GFWI organise events throughout the year to suit all interests. There are many holidays and outings, meetings and conferences, entertainments or activities and courses to choose from, or you can design your own course from our extensive Menu. Holidays & Outings

Denman Diamond Jubilee
The 60 anniversary our college's opening will be celebrated between 23 and 26 September. There are plenty of special events going on throughout the week, and during each day there'll be chances to sample the new WI Cooker School and the all-new Gloucestershire bedroom.

Ireland
Monday 13 - Sunday 19 October

See spectacular and unspoilt scenery, the mighty Giants Causeway, beautiful Donegal, the stunning Glenveagh National Park and revel in the delights of Dublin. Six nights half-board in 3 & 4 star hotels, en-suite accommodation, daytime sea crossings.

Walks often go to a ballot for places, so members must book a place and obtain a ticket.

Flood Prevention and Cure
An evening with Severn Trent and The Environment Agency.

Severn Trent Water and The Environment Agency will give presentations on how and why the events of 2007 happened and their plans for preventing a repetition. This is your chance to ask questions and seek re-assurance.

The Met Office - Exeter
Saturday 13 September

A rare opportunity to visit the Met Office (only open to the public 4 days a year). Have a guided tour, discover the history of the Met Office and the modern techniques used today. Afterwards time to visit Exeter

£16.25 (includes coach Coach pick-ups: Stroud, Gloucester, Cheltenham). Members have priority. Application form and more details here. Closing date: 26 August.
