WI Advisers
GFWI's eight WI Advisers each look after several groups of WIs and their job is to give a WI friendly advice, if it's needed, on most aspects of running its affairs. The County Yearbook gives full details. A list of WIAs and the groups for whom they are responsible can be found on the Who's who page.

GuideStar UK Website
WIs may receive a letter from Guidestar.co.uk asking them to preview their entry in the GuideStar website. This government-backed initiative to construct a comprehensive charity sector information system is actively supported by NFWI, who are anxious to reassure local WIs that it is a worthwhile and cost-free development which will benefit the whole community. WIs are urged to take a look at the information which the website displays about them and to amend it if necessary.

Membership Communication System
MCS is NFWI's online database which holds details of WI members throughout the country. All WIs in Gloucestershire have appointed a representative to maintain their members' details on MCS and already more than half of GFWI's 6,000 members have been added.

New Members: calling all Secretaries and Treasurers
Pat Davies writes: As from September there is a slight change in the procedure for registering new members in order for them to receive their New Member's Pack. Initially please ask them to fill in the pro forma issued by NFWI and return it to you. Enter the information on the Membership Communication System (MCS) and then send the completed form to WI House. I shall then put together their New Member's Pack and despatch it back to your WI in the next available mailing. The pro-forma can be obtained from WI House or downloaded from NFWI..

Logon to MCS [NOTE: Only WI representatives authorised to access MCS can access the system]

Members' Details Forms:
Details Forms for both new and existing members can be downloaded here from the NFWI website.
