WI House
The County Office is only five minute's walk from the city centre. It's open to all members 10:00-12:30 and 1:30-4:00 Monday to Thursday. Amongst its facilities are a shop selling calendars and diaries, stationery for WIs and gifts produced by GFWI and National. There are also meeting rooms (booking essential). You are welcome to pop in at any time. It's also the base for our friendly staff, who look after the day to day administration of GFWI:

Liz Daykin - County Secretary
Liz is responsible for carrying out the wishes of the Executive Committee, ensuring that deadlines are met and the day-to-day running of WI House. She has been a WI member for 35 years; first joining Minsterworth WI, now a member of Herefordshire Federation. Liz is a Parish Councillor and Vice-Chairman of the Village Hall Committee. Her hobbies include gardening, walking, cycling, horse riding and running their B&B.

Carolyn Beacham - Assistant Secretary
Carolyn is responsible for generating most of the mail outs from WI House, general office duties and the day to day running of the adult education scheme. Carolyn is a member of Brunswick Square WI and is an NFWI Cookery & Preservation Judge. Carolyn's hobbies include ten pin bowling, reading and walking.

Beverley Lowes - Book keeper
Beverley is our invaluable Book keeper, responsible for keeping our accounts up to date and generally making sure that everybody stays on the financial straight and narrow. Since she started two years ago she has enjoyed meeting WI members and getting to grips with our WI ways!

Finding us
WI House is in Gloucester's Brunswick Square - only five minute's walk from the city centre. There is limited free parking for WI members to the side of the office and more pay and display parking around the square itself and in nearby streets. Just five minutes away is Gloucester's Eastgate shopping centre with ample parking. There are a number of steps to the front & rear of WI House making access difficult for those with disabilities

Public Transport
For Public Transport Enquiries covering bus, coach and train services throughout Gloucestershire telephone Gloucestershire County Council's Public Transport Helpline on Gloucester (01452) 425543. The service is free and available all day, every day. Park & Ride buses stop on Brunswick Road near WI House.

Membership Communication System
MCS is NFWI's online database which holds details of WI members throughout the country. All WIs in Gloucestershire have appointed a representative to maintain their members' details on MCS and already more than half of GFWI's 6,000 members have been added.
