Avening WI was formed in 1930 and continues to thrive due to an exciting programme of events and activities. We are a friendly and welcoming group providing fun and friendship, an opportunity to broaden your mind and skills, to help the local community and to be part of a national women’s movement.
In addition to monthly meetings with a speaker and some social time, we have a walking group, a book club, a theatre group, craft workshops, and we run a Bite to Eat service for the local community. We have several outings a year to places of interest and gardens, and take part in quizzes and skittles.
