BISHOPS CLEEVE

USUAL MEETING DATE: 3RD TUESDAY 7:15PM

Bishops Cleeve WI meet at the Tithe Barn on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:15pm.

Our WI was formed in 1929 and we celebrated our 95th Birthday in November 2024. We have nearly 60 members at present who enjoy socialising with a mug of tea and being entertained and informed with various speakers throughout the year. Our book club meets in a local pub every 6 weeks or so. The Luncheon Club is enjoyed by many members who meeting up at different venues, pubs and restaurants, to enjoy good food and socialising. This happens every few months.

We also organize theatre trips to the Everyman, Playhouse and Tewkesbury Roses Theatre. During the summer months outings are organized. Past trips have included a river cruise from Stratford-on-Avon with afternoon tea. The Royal Mint, Weston-Super-Mare.

Other activities have been a craft stall at the illumination of Christmas lights in Bishops Cleeve, cake stall at the Street Fair and making various collections for charities. We have also helped the Parish Council to plant and maintain 2 flower boxes in Church Road.
